Three ways into the network

Pick your
seat at
the table.

F.A.N. is a working network for people who can identify money, contribute money or resources, and the people doing the creative and technical work the funding should reach.

01 · Funding intelligence

Funding + Resource Advisors

For people who understand how money moves, or who can help us learn.

  • Grant writers + philanthropic advisors
  • Financial, legal + accounting minds
  • Sponsorship + fundraising professionals
  • Corporate/community-budget connectors
  • People with unconventional funding ideas
I can help find funding

02 · The working scene

Join F.A.N.

For the people who make Austin music and events actually happen.

  • Musicians + bands
  • Producers + recording teams
  • Audio, lighting + stage crews
  • Promoters + independent event makers
  • Photographers, designers + support workers
Join F.A.N.

03 · Make it possible

Donors + Sponsors + Philanthropists

You do not have to fund an entire concert. Fund the piece that makes the concert possible.

  • Cash gifts + recurring support
  • Sponsor a show or practical need
  • Meals, printing, fuel + services
  • Studio, rehearsal + equipment time
  • Matching funds + major gifts

The idea

Don't take money from the band. Find the next dollar.

F.A.N. exists to increase the pool so artists, engineers, producers, crews and the people behind the show are not forced to subsidize Austin's culture out of their own pockets.

What funding can solve

Small gaps.
Real impact.

Sometimes the thing blocking a worthwhile show, recording or opportunity is not a giant grant. It is a tank of gas, a repair, a poster run, an engineer, food for the crew or a few hours in a studio. These are the pilot programs we are building toward.

01

Get to the Gig

Fuel cards, parking, tolls and local transportation so the people doing the work can afford to get there.

02

Feed the Show

Meals and water for performers, engineers and production teams during long event days.

03

Fix the Rig

Emergency repair or replacement of instruments, cables, microphones, speakers and critical equipment.

04

Print the Show

Posters, flyers, banners and neighborhood promotion that puts a local event in front of people.

05

Make the Record

Studio time, live capture, engineering, mixing, mastering and media that helps creative work travel farther.

06

Pay the Crew

Audio engineers, stage support, lighting, production assistants and the people whose labor makes the event work.

07

Shared Gear / Backline Bank

Equipment pools, donated gear, loaners and backline access that reduce recurring costs for everyone.

08

Emergency Show Fund

Save the Show: a proposed rapid-response pool for the small unexpected problem that would otherwise cancel or compromise an opportunity.

Starting immediately

First job:
find the funding.

  1. Build a living map of Austin philanthropists, sponsors, foundations, donor-advised funds, corporate community budgets and local patrons.
  2. Recruit funding minds who know grants, philanthropy, sponsorships, finance and unconventional resource sourcing.
  3. Ask the scene what practical expenses repeatedly stop good work from happening.
  4. Create small pilot funds with clear rules, caps, receipts and direct impact.
  5. Turn donated capacity into usable creative capital: food, print runs, studio hours, gear and transportation.
  6. Report what every dollar or donated resource actually accomplished.

Not everything has to be cash

Turn what
Austin has
into access.

A restaurant, print shop, recording studio or local business can participate even without writing a large check. Unused capacity and practical services can become meaningful support.

Resource partners

Give what you already do.

  • Restaurants: crew meal nights or meal vouchers
  • Printers: monthly poster and flyer allotments
  • Studios: donated off-peak recording hours
  • Rehearsal rooms: unused practice blocks
  • Fuel partners: gas cards
  • Gear companies/shops: repairs, loaners or demo inventory
  • Hotels/transportation: rooms or rides when needed
  • Professionals: grant, accounting, legal or fundraising hours
Offer resources

For supporters

See what your support did.

F.A.N. can make giving tangible.

  • "Powered by F.A.N." recognition on supported projects
  • Sponsor-a-show or sponsor-a-need opportunities
  • Simple impact receipts: what your dollars/resources covered
  • Community supporter recognition when desired
  • Invitations to supported showcases and gatherings
  • Periodic transparent impact reporting

Tax deductibility will only be represented after an appropriate nonprofit or fiscal-sponsorship structure is established and verified.

already doing
the work.

F.A.N. is about connecting the work already happening to the people, companies and resources that can help it continue.
